Held in Asuncion, Paraguay, the exhibition "Paths of Brazilian Folk Art - the Museu Casa do Pontal Collection " offered about 200 works and covered daily activities, fetivals and the religious and fantasy side of Brazil. The criterion of the curator was to bring a collection that would show the diversity of folk art in Brazil. In a historical and thematic cross-section the exhibit featured the leading names in this field of art: Mestre Vitalino, with his work "Lavoura"; Zé Caboclo, with his work "Bom Dia", Manuel Eudócio and Luiz Antônio with their fascination with machines, and artists GTO and Dona Isabel from Minas Gerais, and important artists from other regions of the country. The show was part of Paraguay’s bicentennial celebration and was held at the Museo del Barro, bringing together a rich collection of folk, indigenous and contemporary art. Besides the exhibition, a seminar was held geared to artists and craftsmen and open to art students in which different forms of artistic creation were discussed.
