The GVB Art Gallery is an area of the Museu Casa do Pontal for presenting temporary exhibits that offer new perspectives and ways of seeing and interacting with the worlds of folk art and its frontiers. The exhibits provoke dialogue and confrontation between folk art and the established arts, and the avant-garde with art criticism, in order to allow the creation of art and artistic thought to be seen from various angles, observing their differences and particularities. The gallery also contains exhibits that allow a deeper knowledge in the field of art and popular culture, their contexts and unique circumstances, in Brazil, in South America and other countries.
